How to use this test
Check your device’s volume before selecting Test Left, Test Right or Test Both. Each button plays a one-second tone and highlights the corresponding speaker. Left should be heard on your left and right on your right when stereo speakers or headphones are connected correctly. The volume slider changes the level of the next tone as well as an active tone.
Test Both sends the tone to both stereo channels. If you hear both speakers during a single-channel test, check whether mono audio, spatial processing or a sound enhancement is enabled in your system. The tool generates sound locally and never plays automatically. Short tones help check routing, but are not a full frequency-response or hearing test.
