You should be able to check your device without handing over your personal data. Here is what this version of QuickDeviceTest does and does not process.
Your tests stay on your device
Keyboard events highlight keys locally without saving typed text. Microphone audio and camera video are processed locally without recording or upload. Current attempts remain in page memory. Only aggregate personal-best scores and manually selected keyboard preferences are saved in localStorage on this device. No personal identifiers or keystroke histories are stored. Each test lets you reset its saved best after confirmation; browser site-data controls can remove all preferences and scores.
No account or device fingerprint
No account is required. The device information page displays common browser-provided values locally. We do not combine them into a fingerprint or identifier, and we do not store passwords, audio, video, or test inputs.
Hosting and network information
Like other websites, loading this site sends requests to its hosting provider. The provider may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs and browser headers for delivery, security and operational logging. This is separate from the local device tests.
Cookies, advertising and analytics
This release contains no analytics, advertising scripts or tracking cookies. Advertising and analytics may be introduced later. If that changes, this notice will be updated and appropriate consent controls will be provided where required before optional tracking is enabled.
Permissions and control
Camera and microphone permissions are requested only after you press Start. Stop ends the active stream. Leaving a test also releases it. You can revoke permission at any time in your browser settings. Nothing from the test is sent through the contact page.
