Typing Speed Test
Test your speed and accuracy with 30 or 60-second typing challenges.
The first character starts the timer. New passages appear as you finish each one. WPM uses matched characters ÷ 5 ÷ minutes. Accuracy and errors count entered characters, including corrected mistakes. A streak is consecutive correct entries. Changing duration or difficulty starts a fresh attempt.
Test inputs stay in your browser. Only personal-best scores and keyboard preferences are saved locally; nothing is uploaded.
How to use this test
Choose 30 or 60 seconds and an Easy, Normal or Hard passage. The timer starts with your first character. When you finish a passage, another appears without stopping the timer. You can change settings or retry immediately.
WPM is the number of correctly matched characters, including spaces and punctuation, divided by five and then by elapsed minutes. Accuracy measures correct entries out of all entries; corrected mistakes still count as errors. Best streak is the longest run of correct entries. Personal best is saved separately for each duration and difficulty.
